BulltrapYou make quite a few good points but I disagree with your comment about actively doing something about the crazies that frequent here.
While the anonymity of the internet levels the playing field in that it allows all our messages to be heard regardless of who we are behind the monitor, it is important that we analyze the person making the statements; as Marshall Mcluhan said, the medium is the message.
You say ignoring these people is the same as being a coward, but when I see a homeless on the street shouting at people that the flax industry is colluding with the government to kill us all, my first response isn't to go present him with a well reasoned list of counter arguements. The scum who harass the company and send us threatening inboxes are the internet equivalent.
The evidence of this is implicit within the context of their own posts. Look at our friend Omaplata, do you think a well adjusted, normal individual would be on an internet forum harassing a publicly traded company on a saturday night?
If they had any friends at all, they would have been told to do something better with their time. If they had any money or social status they wouldn't risk it all over something this stupid, and if they had common sense, or even base intelligence, we wouldn't be having this conversation in the first place.
Anyway, my apologies for the wall of text, last post on the subject.
