They're not fools or morons, they're the folks who LIVE there and are rightfully concerned about the environment they live in. But they have been misled (posting pics of the larges open pit mine in the world, implying that water supply is threatened when it absolutely is not) by a very few with an alternate agenda (something THEY should ask about). CCB would be a small, clean operation that would provide income, taxes, etc to an economically depressed area. Through geological luck the best graphite in the world formed in excellent marble a few kilometres from Grenville. Close enough for benefits, far enough to have virtually no downside. We were waiting for CPTAQ, CPTAQ is likely now waiting for something else, so now we just wait for the slow wheels of gov't to turn.
