Shareholder petition for expedited public hearing.
Dear fellow CCB shareholders,
I recently contacted the CPTAQ in order to get some clarification on the details of the upcoming public hearing. While obviously there were some facts that they could not give me, I was relieved by the new understanding I gained on the purpose and format of the meeting. The financial and emotional stress that CCB's long term shareholders have undergone over the last 4 years due to the aggressive and unwarranted actions of the GSLR council has left me personally uneasy; even though we now see the light at the end of the tunnel. I will be honest when I say that I have become impatient with GSLR's delay tactics, and that is why I contacted CPTAQ.
ACTION: I inquired as to whether CCB shareholders could petition the CPTAQ in order to expedite the public hearing date, because GSLR was using all of this as another delay tactic; shareholders have suffered enough. The answer I received was YES! Below I have written an email that you may copy and paste unless you wish to word it yourself. I implore you to be polite and brief, as the CPTAQ have already ruled initially in our favour; we don't want this to change. Please also only email them once(we are not spammers lets keep this professional). Please title the email "Petition to expedite the public hearing date of File 427126". Send to info@cptaq.gouv.qc.ca
EMAIL TO COPY IF NEEDED:
Dear CPTAQ representative,
Regarding File # 427126
I am a shareholder of Canada Carbon Inc(CCB), and I would like to formally and respectfully request that the public hearing via zoom meeting for this file be expedited to a sooner date.
Reasoning: The long term shareholders of Canada Carbon have suffered financial and emotional hardships due to the approximately 4 year delay of the mine progress in Grenville sur la rouge. These delays were a direct result of the GSLR governing council circumventing the law in order to force Canada Carbon into a position where it could not progress any further with the Miller project development. In the out of court settlement shared by Canada Carbon via news release on Feb 19, 2020 GSLR council admitted to these actions. Canada Carbon has followed the law through all of its development, and has been supported by the courts. Example: Turcotte judgement.
Government processes should not be exploited as delay tactics. The GSLR township has also suffered financial hardship due to the extended and wasteful abuse of the Quebec court/governing systems. GSLR council has requested this public meeting. If GSLR council has lawful and honest intentions then they should have no problem with an expedited public hearing. If they insist on delaying these proceedings then their lack of respect for the governing systems of Quebec is clear.
Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Name of shareholder.
