RE: Article

RE: ArticleNice link. I see the BC PR machine is starting to finally draw all these lines together for the general public. Consumers need to view their electronics (because it has tantalum) the way they view blood diamonds and dolphin friendly tuna, and that's with a high awareness of making the responsible choice. That will only happen once they pass through their plan to have tantalum origins stamped on the product. I view this required awareness the same way I view food companies stamping No Trans Fat on things now. 5 years ago that would have meant nothing to people. More knowledge of the public coupled with electronic companies using it as a marketing ploy will play right into our hands. It's unfortunate that the horrible situation in the Congo is going to help advance the general knowledge of tantalum and CCE, but opportunity is always found where the pain is. The BC government, Canada and the UN have themselves a winning story here. It's just going to take time to develop.
