My recall as to operating costs per barrel was indeed close for in situ production such as sawn Lake.. According to a 2019 economic review document published by the Government of Alberta, “the breakeven [WTI] price for a new standalone mine is currently within the US$7585/ bbl range,” while in-situ production is lower, at around US$55 or US$60 per barrel — still way above WTI oil prices ...more

So, paper napkin calculations at WTI at $100 .. 5000 bpd = 1.8 million barrels per year times $100 less $60 = about $70 million in annual operating earnings . Given already sunk costs and absent significant debt, a buyer might be found at an unspecified cash price. Even $20 m is $0.40 per share

Their marketing sense is impeccable as can be seen in their sale of 50 % of Thai assets 7-8 years ago. Its a sunset asset now, so  if they can get $30 million for the stub, that would be wonderful to rise out as you came in. GLTA
