The government has already granted 5 companies permits and only one of those companies is planning to go public. Its very unlikely the government will handout permits to any company that wants one. They will want to keep few competitors to keep the prices up, profits high, and keep it easier to watch over everything. Lots of risk here without a permit an no one is talking about that.

It's not easy getting a govt license.  There is No way they are going to let a mineshaft be approved. Strict building standards apply,as do production standards etc etc etc. also, municipal zoning and environmental issues come into play. It would be worth yout time to thoroughly go through the tweed website particularly the staffing and employments/jobs section to get a sense of the caliber of this type of operation. It can't be done by a bunch of rogue yahoos who suddenly one day decide they are going to grow pot. The entitle tweet operation from top to bottom is filled with knowledgeable and skilled people all with bio science and agricultural backgrounds.  Miners......Hah!    More like minors here!
