RE: RE: could this be the reason for slowness

RE: RE: could this be the reason for slownessThe mining problem in Ecuador is, sadly, entirely man-made.

The left wing government keeps on spinning its wheels and changes its mind along the way and tried to appease both the "greenies" and mining interest (due to the badly needed financial benefits it can bring).  At the end it failed on both counts.  The "greenies" are still mad and the mining industry is essentially deserted Ecuador.  Those who do not already have a stake in Ecuador will never go there.

Well, I am a long term ARU investor (since taken over by Kinross) and bought into CGP because I foolishly believed Ecuador is promising and CGP's Shyri is a vast potential project.  I was wrong on both counts.  The ARU investment was "rescued" by Kinross though is was a steal at that time.  And I am left with CGP still trapped and with no way out, but sit here and wait and pray.  One thing I do know for sure, I will never invest in a company that does its business in Ecuador ever again.

By the way, with no news at all, Corriente's SP showed signs of life on Friday.  Maybe they know something favourable is coming down the pipe at last.  Perhaps CGP might benefit from that as well.  I have been so beat up by the ARU experience I would not believe anything that goernment said until they actually did the deed.  They words are empty and they have absolutely no credibility in my opinion.
