Covid

Everywhere the current wave of Covid variants is accelerating. The vaccine craze has not halted Covid - in fact the opposite has taken place. Covid is now embedded in every country on earth and whole continents (Australia / New Zealand) are on lockdown. The newest mutants do not even respond to the current vaccines. It is slowly dawning on everyone that a drug is needed, not the latest version of a vaccine, but a drug. R-107 is the most promising agent out there in the running now. $25 million has been spent so far to move it to this stage. Claritas is fortunate to have as its lead agent this incredible molecule.

Hi all Angela, I have enjoyed your positive posts. However patience is what many long investors have been and have refused to pull the plug. We will be rewarded...?? I hope so  You mentioned not long ago this stock would be at $6 I believe in October..... LOL...that's very funny Angela, what about the graft versus host disease drug that was gonna revolutionize the industry? Remember it performed better than expected in all three stages and then it was approved for the FDA fast track program? What happened to that? All of a sudden it was dropped for this new covid drug that's gonna revolutionize the industry, funny how this company is able ...more

Three stages? I had no idea we got past Phase II. When did Phase III start, and where on earth did we get the $7 million to proceed with it? Also, when the heck did we get assigned a Fast Track designation from the FDA, because as far as I know, as of December 2019 we still hadn’t applied for it. So when was it given to us? The rest of your post is just the usual uninformed troll garbage. Heck ...more

My advise to you is wait until the fat lady sings before trying to be sarcastic. Otherwise it would be so embarrassing for you in the end. And another advise, I would devinitely not short this stock if I were you, if you were thinking about it. Cheers
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 17, 2021 5:19pm
Pretty sure the fat lady has already sung, my opinion. Do what you want, just being realistic based on past performance.

Thank you for allowing me to make my own decisions. Good luck with Zena, hopefully she is performing to your liking
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 17, 2021 5:57pm
Your very welcome. Kids need a little guidance, don't spend all allowance tho. Did great on Zena, shorted it all the way from around $6 till the Hexo buyout..but thanks for your concern ..
Comment by Amazigh on Sep 17, 2021 6:12pm
Forget my earlier comment, and by all means come and short CLAS. Love to see that Zena money of yours wasted in a short squeeze
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 17, 2021 6:25pm
To be honest I already did short it as soon as the consolidation happened, quite significantly as well and more than doubled my money. Probably wait for another quick pump from the board, wait for the price to spike then ride it down again. But who knows. I appreciate the recommendation tho...
Comment by Amazigh on Sep 17, 2021 6:36pm
Good for you! Thanks for the honesty. Keep shorting it, will you. And use next time an even higher amount, so you can triple or quadruple your money
Comment by SeeDonRun on Sep 17, 2021 6:58pm
Hoiw much did you short?  Is there a minimum and who is your broker?  I'd like to do this as well but don't know much about it.
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 17, 2021 8:32pm
Call your broker and tell them you wanna start shorting. Different firms have different rules due to the significant increase in risk, shorting can get you into a lot of trouble if your not careful. I only short in certain situations when it's fairly apparent that the companies SP is consistently trending downward, which is the case for this stock...
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 17, 2021 8:38pm
Do lots of research before shorting, remember stocks trade up and down and you can make or lose money both ways. You need to learn how to trade up or down, opportunity to make money exists when stocks trade( share price moves) in which direction means nothing....
Comment by SeeDonRun on Sep 17, 2021 9:13pm
I will on Monday.  Thanks!  Do you know if the bigger firms allow this or just smaller brokers and, may I ask who you are with? It seems that the consistently downward movement in share price is very attractive but it seems that it is also an event driven stock.  I mean, if they actually did something or, made even a small announcment it could change the trend right?
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 17, 2021 11:00pm
I use quest trade for most of my trading. Most press releases for these types of stocks are simply marketing ploys to buoy the price and/or slow the downward trend. After the share consolidation the SP soared to $1.20ish, it's been dropping ever since. This was a huge money making opportunity for shorting the stock. The company has zero products, no Chance of any legitimate pharmaceutical ...more

LOL I can see where that makes sense given the history of this company!   Say, how do you get around the expensive margin rates?  Do you actually put up dollar for dollar when you boorow the shares?
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 18, 2021 10:53am
It all depends on the brokerage you use, your account size, activity etc....sometimes they will limit the amount you short to ensure you don't get in over your head. Call your brokerage and discuss it with them...
Comment by Amazigh on Sep 18, 2021 11:20am
Can I ask you something about shorting? I know the riskiness and therefore I do not make use of it. For me, it's like gambling, huge gains, but also huge losses. So, my question is the following: Let's assume CLAS runs again and reaches $1.20. You then decide to short it with let’s say 50,000 shares (to do that you have to borrow them and later give them back). The price goes, after ...more

Damn you seem worried. Shorting isn't for nubs.IMO I'm more worried about an asteroid hitting me head on than Kalytera/Clas taking off lol.
Comment by Sacloco on Sep 18, 2021 3:50pm
That's a really good question because most people don't really think about the down side of shorting when they start doing it. The scenario you mentioned is scorched earth outcome, worst possible thing to happen but it CAN happen, and if the SP skyrockets after the halt your stuck. That would be some really bad luck, and you would have to short a huge amount of shares, so you gotta be ...more

The highest it went was 75 cents so wonder where you got thee $1.20 from. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/quote/CLAS.V/history?p=CLAS.V Definitely gong to have to look at getting onboard with Questrade as my Scotia broker wont let me short Clas and when I look at your Quest guys the cost of shorting is putting the full cost of the shares upfront in your margin account as well as pay something ...more

Poor performance in the past is not always an indicator of poor performance in the future. If you are invested I hope you make money. Based on your comments it does not seem you are which begs the question, why are you here?

There is a lot of information here with no data to support what you are saying. Could you share links to the info you have here such as approval of FDA fast track, all three stages of trials, etc. This may be helpful for you.  https://claritasinvestors.com/index.php?/topic/1063-putting-the-gvhd-canard-to-bed/&tab=comments#comment-3745
