Cielo Waste Solutions Corp. V.CMC

Alternate Symbol(s):  CWSFF | V.CMC.W

Cielo Waste Solutions Corp. is a Canada-based waste-to-fuel environmental technology company. The Company's business model is to source waste feedstock from industrial producers and other suppliers and convert the feedstock into valuable fuels. The Company's Thermal Catalytic Depolymerization (TCD) process converts waste feedstocks, including plastics, rubber, organic material, and wood derivative waste into valuable fuel. Its facilities are designed to operate with no harmful emissions and through the conversion of waste-to-fuel, it can help reduce methane emissions from landfills, as well as reduce reliance on imported biofuels made from agricultural products. The Company’s Aldersyde Demo Facility is located approximately 25 kilometers south of Calgary, features a 2.5-acre site and a plant which provides proof of concept that can convert wood waste biomass to fuel.

Cielo's Highlights from Today's Biomass Energy Network

Cielo's Highlights from Today's Biomass Energy Network

Posted by Sylle on the Cielo Reddit Board Today:

Here are my highlights from today’s presentation with Biomass Energy Network:

  1. Cielo has given an offer on a piece of land for the Edmonton and is waiting for the deal to be finalized. As soon as it finalizes there will be a press release about it.

  2. Edmonton has room for 6x plants, which means it can expand up to 24,000 LPH.

  3. Cielo has signed a MOU with a US city that has a population of 500,000 people (name of the city was not exposed). Cielo will be an anchor tenant right at their landfill, which is a sizable piece of property. The US city has a goal of being carbon neutral 2030.

  4. Cielo has hired a company to help them with their carbon credits. For now, the exact details of how many carbon credits Cielo anticipate to gain is unknown.

  5. Peter Mackay has connections with Canadian military that use diesel, and Cielo hope to create some deals with them in the future. Raphael also gave the impression that the Canadian military will be moving to renewable diesel shortly.

  6. Canadian Pacific Railway plan to make a documentary about their railway ties, from when they were place to the ground, to when they finally get recycled.

  7. More companies with railway ties are interested in the solution Cielo provides, which opens the door for future feedstock deals.

  8. If the price for Canada’s carbon credits rises to $170 (which it is planned to do by 2030), then Cielo’s carbon credits might potentially equal to EBIDTA.

  9. The biproduct is ash. It is not super high on Cielo’s priority list, but it is on the list. They have not evaluated its uses properly, or if there is a market for the ash. They recognize there might be plenty of uses for it, but it needs to be investigated further.
