CMC valuation

  • The acquisition of the Enhanced Gas to Liquids (“EGTL™”) facility located in Carseland, Alberta, is valued at $125 million
At .30 CMC is valued at around 34 million

I put zero credibility to the value of 125K purchase price.  This is not an arm's length transaction.  This deal has been cooked up by insiders and 100% financed with zero money being put up with a price based on a guesstimate of future revenue.  The markets reaction to this deal says it all.

Markets reaction?  Did you see the markets the past 4 days all down.  But CMC is not.  Maybe someome should say look how good CMC is doing against the indexes this week, buoy up by the incredible news. But it is just idiotic to put such a stamp on a complicated world of markets similar to your opinionated comment implying no interest in CMC news release. Oh contraire.  The ...more

CMC is a $0.02 cent pipe dream. The stock markets have been on a roll for 4 years and this piece of toilet paper has not!! Please do not compare this disaster to anything resembling an absolute business. Going nowhere, !!

The short position is 57000!! All the money has been made on this PIG!!  You pumpers have an agenda......To guarantee to lose money.

Would it not be prudent to obtain an external valuation and are you certain they did not?
Comment by lscfa on Jun 16, 2024 8:11am
Conveniently omitted the ebitda generated on the $18M revenue from the plant. Must be low if not willing to disclose.
Comment by oilcan2012 on Jun 16, 2024 10:03am
That they now have an asset producing revenue and provide a springboard for scaling up is celebatory. Any mention of CPKC would have required an approval, that being a more than suitable indicator for momentum.  Would you prefer bankruptcy?
Comment by Zibo510 on Jun 16, 2024 9:50pm
The 18M year gross revenue is a guesstimate.  The 7.5 million yearly interest payment on the 125 million mortgage is a guarantee, plus all operating costs / expenses.  Better hope the revenue is as expected.
Comment by oilcan2012 on Jun 17, 2024 11:27am
The "Guesstimate" is based off current operating performance at the RM facility, which lends significant confidence to the forecast. It is not 'pie in the sky' as a 'guess' would imply. One could conclude that the transaction is more of an 'arrangement' in which all parties remain stakeholders, as evidenced by dealpoint considerations such as the extremely ...more

And....    the 18M revenue grows to 100M revenue once they complete the remaining plans reach full production.   Debt repayments are being structured to meet the growth pattern of the company through interest only commitment for the short term. Pretty pathetic analysis for someone to simply pull out 2 numbers from a press release and make a terrible assumption/ignore the rest.
Comment by Bucketshop on Jun 17, 2024 9:20pm
AND.........its a $0.02 cent disaster that since this GREATnews has declined!!

“Legitimate shareholders” can determine whether CMC is evolving.  The journey from a near-defunct joke to what appears to be a 'tight' strategically focused corporation is admirable.  Who would base success on equity market pricing fluctuations when the present CMC situation should be measured by CPKC's interest, and the arrangement terms outlined in the RM Binding ...more

Great point. There are NO legitamite shareholders. Insiders own less than !%. no institutions own this and and would not buy it anyway. Thhis is still, has always been and will always be a classic VSE failure. Nobody is interested, hence the pathetic volume and price. But you continue to belive that this will one day be something....
Comment by oilcan2012 on Jun 18, 2024 5:32pm
So, why do you publish or even bother with CMC?  Any "Legitimate Shareholder" should be encouraged by the last two years' results.  First and foremost, people are an organization's most valuable asset. CEO Jackson and CFO Dhaliwal have done an outstanding job of removing non-core assets and developing a focused organizational strategy that appears to be profitable ...more

016 I wasnt aware you had to be a cheerleader to post here!! Go back and read what i have said and you would not be holding this piece of toilet paper,,I GUARANTEE you that there are NO unstitutions, No big investors looking at this fiasco..Wasnt RJ the head of Renewable??  The stock(if you call it that) is a $0.016 piece of wallpaper that will drift off into the sunset as a ZERO!!
Comment by oilcan2012 on Jun 18, 2024 7:19pm
So, do indeed reread your posts, and mine for that matter.  To the institutions and whatever a 'big investor' might be, dubious that they would be holding stock now. However, I GUARANTEE that several institutions are in watch mode due to the RM deal and that CPKC approved mention in the recent PR. Having CEO Jackson with the knowledge he obtained through RU about CMC is a plus and ...more

What it does do is prove that there is life after death. Kudo's to EVERYONE who was able to solidify the Rock Mountain transaction whether those be insiders, outsiders, Martians or MoonWalkers.  It takes a ton of resolve to turn around what became a nightmare and put the company possibly on a trajectory to provide shareholders with a hopeful win.
