Big Picture on CNCHi everyone, I am new to Stockhouse but not to investing in battery/battery base materials. For what it's worth, here is my take on CNC. All of this is IMHO.
These guys have one of the best and only options for potentially "clean nickel" combined with the senior leadership/management to make it happen. The market is starting to demand and will continue to demand this "clean" resource. People are realizing that the environmental impact of producing your electric car almost negates the benefit of driving it. In addition, the power influence from people like Elon should not be underestimated; he issued the challenge at his last press conference and EVERYONE took note. If CNC gets noticed by Musk and can actually produce environmentally responsible nickel from this proven resource, there is no question that this company will grow wings.
So there is not doubt that the potential upside is almost overwhelming; makes you want to allocate the rest of your cash...but cool your jets. The cold reality is that there is no mine, no PO's to fill/nickel to sell, no cash flow, no earnings so the uncertainty is very high; however, this is Timmin's we are talking about: with over a century of mining experience, this resource couldn't be located in a better place. To date, the drilling results are very promising, with great access to roads, skilled labour and the spin-off resources required to open and run a mine of this size. This is not to mention the favourable political landscape in Ontario for this industry. I expect that as long as true value investors are willing to accept the risk of uncertainty for the better of the environment, this company has a bright future.
In the mean time, this is going to be a very volatile play; we can expect the hysteria of the market and the Tesla mob to influence the price over the next 2 years. Results will be good some days as people recognize (and start to realize) the potential here and on some days, the shorters/bashers/dumpers will try to discourage.
Stay calm, be patient
All IMHO
