EV MomentumThey may have killed the electric car in the past but I don't think so this time...
Here is a taste of the tidal wave for EVs:
-
California banning sale of ICE vehicles by 2035 - Ford recently announced investment $11B in electrification - 40 new vehicles by 2022
- GM: 20 new e models by 2023
Investing 20B$ btw 2020-2025
From GM website: "General Motors’ vision of a world with zero emissions will be powered by a future where every vehicle is an electric vehicle. We are aggressively going after every aspect of the EV ecosystem. First, because we need millions of EVs on the road to make a meaningful impact toward building a zero-emissions future
We want to put everyone in an EV, and we believe we have what it takes to do it. Beyond the societal benefits of an all-electric, zero-emissions future, we are going to drive an amazing ownership experience for our customers."
- Toyota:
5.5M eVs by 2025
- Volkswagen: 10B in next 5 yes
23 electric models by 2025
- Dailmer/Mercedes: 10 available models by 2022
Carbon neutral by 2039
And this list goes on and on and on...
Musk: ICEs will become collector items. Oil companies will be making fuel for vintage car rallies
All these EVs need batteries - CNC will be the standard for responsibly mined nickel. IMO - Go long
