Here’s what’s up

September 3, 2021 – TheNewswire - Spruce Ridge Resources Ltd. (TSXV:SHL) (OTC:SRCGF)  (“ Spruce Ridge ” or the “ Company ”) announces that the Company has postponed the dividend -in-kind (the “ Dividend ”) of 2,500,000 of the 8,100,000 common shares of Canada Nickel Company Inc. (TSXV: CNC) (“ CNC Shares ”) held by Spruce Ridge, previously announced on July 27, 2021, and that the Dividend was not paid on or after August 28, 2021, as previously announced.  The Company intends to postpone the Dividend to a later date, with a new date of record (“ Record Date ”) and payable date (“ Payment Date ”), to be determined in consultation with the TSX Venture Exchange.  The Company will provide a further update on the Dividend with the new Record Date and Payment Date in due course.

Spruce Ridge recognizes that those shareholders of record on the original record date of August 6, 2021 who sold their shares after August 6, 2021 until the date hereof will be unduly affected by the postponement and the Company will make those shareholders whole.  Spruce Ridge asks those shareholders who sold their Spruce Ridge shares after August 6, 2021 until the date hereof to advise the Company at spruceridgeresources@gmail.com , with verification of ownership and sale of Spruce Ridge shares after August 6, 2021 until the date hereof, by October 31, 2021.

Makes no sense to me why people should get ...more

Unfortunately I’m unable to help you out. That part is very confusing. I was a buyer at the 15/16 cent levels.   Make me whole as well.   Still confident and waiting patiently as the story unfolds on a timeline we have no control over.  GLTA!

Someone wasn't happy with these dividend shares. My guess is CNC stepped in. Not sure what's going on. Those shares were going into the hands of SHL shareholders. Don't know who the bigshot shareholders are but maybe CNC doesn't want them in the hands of someone. Something definitely strange going on.

I appreciate your replies. At least I'm not the only thinking this a screwy move by SHL. The downside to selling after Aug 6th is a person would have to buy back the shares they sold before they could buy more shares in order to get more CNC shares. Although I wondered, 1 CNC share for 65 SHL shares sounded like a pretty good deal. Maybe too good. I get a feeling the ratio will be a lot lower ...more
