Why the secrecy with the new land

This is very odd as Mark is very upfront as far as the land acquisitions. This is just speculation on my part (and I'm tired of speculating) lol, but I have a feeling this land acquisition has to do with the strategic. I think they've picked up properties from the strategic in exchange for CNC shares. CNC will have to continue to explore on these properties and ultimately the strategic will take back not just those lands hopefully proven, but CNC as a company. There's no reason for them to keep it a secret unless it lies on the property of a major already. And they would then be disclosing too much. Mark is also quoted saying he's confident it's closing by end of first quarter. So something is going on there. I guess we find out soon. GLTA

Could also be why such delays. They're trying to see how they would structure it. That would certainly make this a complicated transaction. Especially if CNC doesn't want to give much up.

That could be true apapas and would make things tricky. On the other hand I am assuming there is area play land rush potential for the smaller prospector types who jumped in there over the last couple of years. CNC would want to keep it hush hush until they lock up all they want in a particular area.  I worked with a prospector guy who paid for his house off Hemlo gold discovery by scooping ...more

The land is stated to be around Timmins. Do any Majors besides Glencore own land in the area?
Comment by CravingProfits on Feb 15, 2022 1:19pm
Not that I am aware but Glencore could be reaching end of life soon and they have the manpower, properties, infrastructure and the metallurgical site they could draw on. Who knows...their high grade tailings could be worth millions. Lol Glta...till the next news release.

Glencore makes so much sense.

.........The test was conducted at XPS Expert Process Solutions, a Glencore Company ("XPS")

And I think any injection of liquidity for CNC will come from another source. I think Mark is determined not to give too much away, which he will have to do if it's all with a large cap miner.
Comment by EndZonefor7 on Feb 15, 2022 2:39pm
Maybe, maybe not apapas. Recall Voisey's Bay had Teck invest $108 million for 10% and no voting rights on Diamond Fields. Two months later Inco stepped in for 25% of Voisey's for $386 million US and 8% of Diamond Fields. Put those numbers into today's dollars.  With EV/battery producers chomping at the bit for supply there is more pressure on the majors to do a big deal before ...more

I think we'll find out in the next 2-3 weeks Endzone.

Would be ironic if Freidland was our man.

And their annual general meeting is set for April 20. The deal will be done by then. Mark will be crucified at the AGM if there's no announcement. I'm going to guess it's complete.

Anybody knows why shareholders of march 11 would be given a vote at the AGM if other than for an aquisition?  Check page 5.   Why would we need to vote? *2022-02-15-CNC-Metallurgy-and-Corporate-Update-vf.pdf (canadanickel.com)
