Spe maybe hedging their bets as well, just in case they don't hit the big one. If they strike all is well and they give up a little , but they have what they want, extra cash and a listing. If they miss , then they still have their listing and $3.5 million to spend on other things, maybe even a gas play at Shoul Pt.  Smart move I think because without this deal and they miss the big one, they'll be hard pressed to raise cash for anything.
