News release ??
News release ??Since we've already analyzed this NR even more then the samples from 2K-39 have been, may as well do some more.LOL
Aspart of this program, we have examined closely the information providedby the 2K-39 well. In the course of so doing, it has been noted thatcertain statements to the effect that 2K-39 flowed some 54 bbls of oilinto the wellbore are not substantiated by the well records. In fact nooil flowed from the formation into the wellbore and the well was at alltimes under control. The source of the oil which was observed in themud was from oil liberated by cuttings from the thick oil-bearing shalebeing penetrated by the drill.
Why bring this up at all??????
" flowed some 54 bbls of oilinto the wellbore are not substantiated by the well records."
Doesn't mean it didn't happen....why 54bbls...someone snatch that number out of the air or did that much come from the cuttings? I remember a lot of rumors about this oil at that time. If this statement was wrong originally, that has a funny smell to it don"t you think?
"In fact nooil flowed from the formation into the wellbore and the well was at alltimes under control".
What's this all about.....sounds like a defense against an accusation of a well control problem...I mean if the oil flowed on it's own was it out of control?
"from the thick oil-bearing shale"
Some people talking about thick oil ? Or is it the shale that's thick? lol....see what I mean
This is a lot of fun on a snowy day :-)
All this aside, I do like this. I have nothing but respect for Mr. Millan..And I truly do believe that this is going to be a great oil play for western Newfoundland and this is only the beginning. After all, they've already proved it's there. It's just a matter of topping up the barrel so to speak
"takes pleasure in presenting the following information on the GreenPoint oil-in-shale project in the Port au Port Bay area in WesternNewfoundland:"
"The results of our investigationsare adding a great deal to our understanding of this excitingunconventional oil-in-shale play in western Newfoundland and I amgreatly encouraged
As oil in shale goes this will be one of the best....enjoy the day
