RE:RE:RE:2.40 ???Perhaps that is so. I choose to believe otherwise.
I too saw Eric's presentation and while he talks about some asking for "a few more weeks" he also talks about the deal "being all wrapped up" (or similar) in the Fall.
Someone else on the board talked about the difference between announcing a deal announcement and finalizing a deal (maybe with one or more entities by the end of it). That can take quite a long time depending on the deal complexity.
I am not of the mind that we are being misled. We want a big-bang day with all the details and all the risk removed and all the money delivered but there are a lot of dominos to line up. I would love that day also.
Another thought I have is that a deal may be announced and it may involve some sort of "average closing share price for the last xx days". If that is the case and we are being manipulated down to manage the share price into a lower range then that too would be very troubling. I have no evidence of that but I often wonder about the manipulation of prices prior to a deal announcement to make it most favourable to the new buyer and to make the "sellers" feel better about any premium they may get on the share price.
But if it is so heavily manipulated as that then I might as well just take my money and head off to Vegas where at least I can lose all my money AND enjoy a good buffet or a show.
I guess we will see how it all plays out. I am not going away.
