RE:Insider Trade Log

RE:Insider Trade Log

I don't think too deeply about these things as there are always reasons for insiders to sell shares - estate planning, tax planning, buying a 15,000 square foot chalet in the Laurentians. Norma life stuff.

However. I think there's only one reason for insides to buy: they think stock is going up.

In CUB case, looks like all insider activity is on the buy side. Maybe they're drinking the Kool Aid or delusional. Maybe not?

Hi Janoe.  I live on Van Island and everyone is delusional here. :)

Understood re:life and yes, I watch insider trades for any company I watch or own shares in.  The last major insider buying here was the day? of the last private placement at or close to? ~$1.25/share on the open market.  To me, they were token confidence buys to indicate confidence and sure seemed coordinated since I would speculate they knew the PP would not be well received by the market.  It wasn't.  As I said before, the price has struggled ever since so my question becomes a Warren Buffet question, if it was such a great deal at $1.25 why weren't insiders buying when it was on sale at $1?  There was one later buy at about $1000 worth? if I remember right...I'd have to go look again.  But when a person makes a 6 figure salary with significant common shares already held (high odds they're founders shares) $1000 does not resonate with me.

Company insiders that want people to buy their shares and drink the Kool Aid and say what a great deal they are should lead the way especially when a share price falters like this one has.  If insiders aren't buying under weak conditions then why should I?

Go to BNE and that's real insider buying from the CEO with real and significant personal dollars and ongoing because he feels/felt the shares were undervalued.  He's done that for the years that I have watched that one.  That instills real confidence to shareholders in my eyes.  He's made a fortune that way.  I have done ok on it.  In it again now and that's one of the major reasons I chose BNE vs others.  High insider ownership was also one of the original determining factors of me buying CUB initially although it has been diluted down since.

Again, I love the technology here but the patent database is also loaded with good ideas that never got far if anywhere.  Will the same happen here?  I don't know, I'd be shocked and horrified if so, but the tech is where it begins and ends for me.  Too many flags otherwise for my taste.  I wait for the fat rabbit and big hat while the clock ticks.
