LONDON Oct 11 (Reuters) - Diversified miner Teck Resources Ltd (TCKb.TO: Quote) said on Monday its copper mine output would rise to more than 400,000 tonnes in 2012 and could more than double in five to six years based on its new projects.

"We see very significant growth in our copper production, it could more than double in five to six years. By 2012 it will be in excess of 400,000 tonnes," Ron Vance, senior vice president of corporate development, said in an interview.
