If you look at what I did for people on BTR you'd realize I did it to save them horrible losses. So I shared some info here as a social experiment because of the ruthless nature of investing. The wife says I should do a facebook page and I kind of agree. I had hoped in the past to generate more dd and study the public mind more than the stock.
Bucking the trend. I have been met with mixed opinions indeed. Thank you all for the input, good or bad. One thing I have noticed is no one says "oh that's just crazy". That was actually what I thought I'd hear first. My goal was to help people make money, for free, and see the reactions. It's been great fun.
What did I learn. There are only two opinions. Wow nice and total mistrust. Even though the dd is presented for people to make up their own minds there is still the crowd who is totally suspicious. Well, you can do the dd for yourself right? And when it turns out to be right you still can't get over it? Interesting. I suppose there are a number of reason ranging from jealousy to anger that would explain some of the comments. Possibly some are paid to pooh pooh good dd. The wow nice crowd generally does their own dd and asks tough questions although not as many as I first expected but I know now that that is due to them studying the info.
Then there are the people who phone me and email me every day. They don't know me yet they use me to make the tension bearable. Is there that much trust online? Well, no. Trust should be a two way street but in this case it is not but it is earned over a long period of time. Those people have seen me make mistakes on occasion and have seen the track record of getting it right. Yet, they don't question my motive. In fact, no one has from this particular crowd. I thought that would come up like it does on the bb's.
When I figure out what I'm doing next I might let some know.
