RE:RE:RE:Natural option - Schaft Creek JV

I can't believe you posted that as a question.  It is clear as day that Teck has been postering on Scahft Creek since 2011.  What is notable is that Teck has made its very first statement on Schaft Creek and it is as ugly as it gets, suggesting that despite posting last year C1 CUeq cost of $0.60/ lb at SC which is a third of QB2's, that SC production wouldn't start for over a decade behind a slew over skedtchy projects.  This tells me that they are amping up the propaganda that is bordering on the insane and ludicrous.  They are trying to imply that they are of "interested anything but SC, so everybody look away, it is at the back of the bus".  This could be a clue they are about to make a move.  Teck promised a PFS within 3 years on Galore Creek when they partnered with Newmont.  That sounded ludicrously long at the time.  Yet that three years is up and they haven't begun the PFS... What's the hold up Teck when your much bigger partner says they are eager to get going??   So yeah, it does seem like Galore won't advance until something else happens....

I wonder what the Galore capex is up to now.  About a year ago it was estimated a US $6.1 billion compared to less than half that for SC at $2.6 B, that is a huge difference!  I'll bet the next estimate on Galore will top US $7 Billion.  Another reason they are probably delaying any release of updated numbers on Galore.  It will just look beyond dumb-fvck stupid to place Galore ahead Schaft Creek.  I mean much more stupid than their postering looks like now, lol

Lots of questions remaining on the nightmare logistical challenge at Galore that could easily escalate capex costs.  They gave up the 2 km tunnel work about a decade ago after just two weeks of boring.  That's the last recorded work on the project that I can recall.   I still think that Galore may depend on some shared processing infrastucture at the much more amenable property way down lower next door in Schaft Creek.
