From the non-laterite porphyry copper tailings comes scandium phosphate, then scandium oxide (fuel cells/batteries), and scandium fluoride (aluminum scandium alloys for transportation industry). A few points,.
1.High recovery rate from tailings (recycling/lower carbon)
2.Lower capital cost and processing/operating cost (in comparison to laterites/bauxite) since lower impurities in tailings (iron,al) when precipiting the Sc.
3.Leads to higher NPV and ROI and profitability especially for a long life mine.
4. A more attractive and competitive price for DBG/HAT final product. Higher Sales.
