DIGIFONICA ANNOUNCES COMPLETION OF NON-BROKERED PRIVATE PLACEMENT & INTERNATIONAL FILING OF PATENTS

Digifonica International Inc., subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange, has arranged a non-brokered private placement of up to five million units at a price of 10 cents per unit. Each unit consists of one common share of the corporation and one-half of one non-transferable common share purchase warrant, with each whole warrant entitling the holder thereof to acquire one common share at a price of 15 cents per common share for a period of 12 months from the date of issuance and thereafter at a price of 25 cents per common share until the date that is 24 months from the date of issuance. No finder's fee was paid in respect of this private placement. Digifonica intends to utilize the net proceeds of the private placement for general working capital purposes. The company is also pleased to announce that it has initiated the process to file international patents related to its proprietary VoIP technologies. At this time, the company has completed filing over 100 claims with up to 30 additional claims being prepared for international submission. The company will continue the process of the remaining patents in September, 2009. Gordon Blankstein, director of the company, stated that, "The company has worked diligently to complete the filing processes which provides significant protection to the companies VoIP operations and ensures that the company is capable of meeting on going North American, European and international legislative changes for VoIP service providers."
