In this article -Musk states - over 10,000 acres

The CEO confirmed that it acquired a lithium claim in Nevada:

“We got rights to a lithium claim deposit in Nevada – over 10,000 acres.”

Nevada is known to have a large reserve of libitum that is still not being exploited in volume.

Lithium Americas is one of the companies most far along in the development of mining operations in the region.

Musk said that Tesla is planning to have a low impact on the environment that it is mining:

“We take a chunk of dirt in the ground, extract the lithium, and put the chunk of dirt back where it was. It will look pretty much the same as before.”

Tesla didn’t offer a clear timeline on getting its mining operations up and running.

However, it indicated that it plans to ramp up battery cell production to 10 GWh next year, 100 GWh in 2023, and 3,000 GWh in 2030.

NEVADA JUNIORS LAND SIZES
Dajin = Alkai Valley + Teels = 11,765 acres
Iconic = 14,208 acres ( nitric acid )
Cypress = 5,430 acres ( sulphur )
Noram = 14,740 acres ( sulphur )
Speriment = 800 acres - -
Lithium Americas 30km x 40km ( sulphur )
American lithium = 4000 acres ( sulphur )
Reddy lagoon colombus marsh ( aussie )  ???
Ioneer = 10,996 ( sulphur )
Or...private claim - not with a listed company ?

TESLA SHOULD THINK TWICE -
100 ppm  - lithium  brine per cubic meter = 100,000 - ppm
100 ppm - lithium brine per ( 2 cubics ) = 200,000 - ppm

200,000 li ppm x 5.34 conversion to carbonate
=1 kg of LCE

________________________________________________________________

Now....how many tonnes of sediments if 1000 ppm ?
Yes...i'll use 10x greater ppm in sediments

1,000 ppm x 200 tonnes = 200,000 pppm

200,000 ppm x 5.43 conversion
= 1 kg of LCE

IN SHORT = IT ONLY REQUIRE 2 CUBES OF BRINE
VERSUS - 200 TONNES OF SEDIMENTS

NOW WHICH WAY IS CHEAPER TO MINE LITHIUM ?
= BRINE

it would only take - 2,000 cubics of brine with 100 ppm to arrive at
1 tonne of LCE

vs

200,000 tonnes of sediemENTS WITH 1,000 PPM  to arrive at
1 tonne of LCE.

Tesla's dream team of miners ( GREENHORNS )
should revise thier strategy -
they got the salt formula down pat  -cough cough...

BUT... should revise thier way on how to mine the lithium .
Brine is cheaper....100/ppm IN A GOOD aquifer or...saturated basin would be perfect...
