Q3

Again the AI is weak....under 1 million 2 quarters in a row, as expected the first full 3 months of MEDI was not reported separately....we are still a heavily weighted covid test kit company...as expected....at least they made a mill, stock will do nothing is my guess....I wait....is it 2024 yet
Comment by PendleStock on Nov 22, 2022 8:20am
AI was weak in the first three quarters. But October  i think had a 3M P.O meaning it could get stronger heading to 2023. That will be the big year IMHO
Comment by Mario79 on Nov 22, 2022 8:30am
I'm disappointed that they didn't proof read the news release as there is an error. They purchased 1,750 million shares under NCIB as of Sept 30 but they spent over 2 million dollars to purchase. Come on MG need to do better than this. This does not look good. We shareholders have been telling the company to proof read and to hire a proper PR firm. Oh well
Comment by swyint123888 on Nov 22, 2022 8:40am
Yes Mario I have been saying for a long time Marshall should step down....like you say us shareholders deserve way way better than he is giving.....once we get out of the covid test kit company label I really hope some professionalism shows up
Comment by PendleStock on Nov 22, 2022 9:01am
Yeah, some errors could be avoided. Next Q hope they list Medi-Call as a stand alone
Comment by Bucks212 on Nov 22, 2022 9:28am
Speaking of Medi-call, the ramp up is slow as a snail. I hope they can still turn it around and we get great news on it next quarter
Comment by amitchelnderson on Nov 22, 2022 3:10pm
True on the Medi-call as a stand alone. Im glad the AI did not dissapoint.

Considering their investments in AI, EVs, and Medi-call, they do seem to be controlling expenses reasonably. What is going to matter is Q1 and Q2 to see if new business segments are making any money
Comment by Resilience19 on Nov 22, 2022 9:38am
Also picked up on the discrepancy... On the upside, it looks like the average sp for the first NCIB will have be around 0 115. The second is likely average around 0.085-0.09.

Beyond this, I'm overall happy with these "post-" COVID numbers. No debt, $13M in the bank, good traction with AI revenu, increased EBITDA. Q4 was off to a good start, with the $2.4M AI contracts and Q1 2023 should include IDEAS income circa (IMO) $10M. So, compared to a lot of businesses out there, I think we, broadly, have strong metrix.
Comment by MUTDMUTD on Nov 22, 2022 9:46am
... a very good report IMO given the current market conditions... very good indeed.... All IMO... DYODD...
Comment by MUTDMUTD on Nov 22, 2022 10:55am
... they've now accounted for the error and reposted an NR with the over 17M shares repurchased included...
Comment by Aiking on Nov 22, 2022 10:59am
I agree, the numbers are very good. We should keep in mind, that the overall market condition is very bad and Datametrex has no debt and $13M cash! This is a extraordinary business situation to handle the overall bad market condition. This means, DM can easily grow troughout the market situation without further dilution. I would say, DM is by now the best smallcap stock to invest at TSXV. P.S ...more

Be patient with this one AiKing and try not to get to caught up with the SP, it will eventually come to life. Once they get to the next milestone for the DND and the verticals start to show consistent growth, there is only one direction this will go. Telus health bought something similar to Medi-Call Ai for big $$$$. There is definite value in these verticals. I personally love the fact that they ...more

The FINS weren't horrible.  If MediCall and EV are legit business' that ever start producing and if AI continues to grow there is great potential here. However, trying to make a postive connection between Telus Health and MediCall is ludicrous IMHO.  Compared to Telus, MediCall is a downright embarasment.  As an investor I'm ashamed and frankly quite unhappy about the ...more

Not comparing MediCall to Telus Health.  We have no chance number wise at this stage if ever against such behemoths.  Was comparing to the company that Telus Health bought. Babylon or something. We may simply always target the private sectors and more specialized demographics such as students and still do very well. We are limited currently by our ability to scale due to huge shortages ...more

Not to mention Medical could be sold to competition - say, if they it AI and some of its offering (i.e. mental health, international students etc), which could help improve their own plateform. I have no emotional attachment to neither Medicall nor DM EVS. So, if DM announces at one point that it's sold Medicall to competition (i.e. Telus) - or to competition's competition (i.e. Bell ...more

Exactly. If another behemoth wants to compete against Telus in the Telehealth field they will want to leap frog the R&D stage. They do this through acquisitions. Telus spent in the 100's of millions in acquisitions for the AI and platforms that became integrated into becoming Telus Health.   With how slow we are starting up Medi-Call I almost felt this was the direction they were ...more

Good points. And if it comes to Korean students and shortages of doctors, maybe MediCall should be translated in Korean and MediCall should go for Korean doctors too. Could be useful to have Korean doctors support while studying in Canada.

Thank you Venator, for your words! You're right. All it takes is patience, as we know the next DND milestone is 'lifechanging' (as mentioned earlier, I think it will be $10M). Also I would love to see a focus on the upcoming US election. There will be a record need for NexaSMART. If I could sell the product in North America, I would be sell it like hot cake easily (I mean past election ...more

I do seem to recall MG stating that eventually given time they will have a broader approach with Nexalogy where people can just download an app and use it for example. Military grade tech always takes years to filter down. So for now they go after big fish and as the technology becomes more mainstream they pivot. A two prong approach is what I think they are trying to implement.  As for ...more

You're right with having "their bags packed" and the chance DM is involved. But as far as I know how theses issues work, DM need to talk to many stakeholder to get the big money out of it. And I think of anything about $50M sales contract. DM has to potential to get such contracts, but they need political sales people in D.C. And the need to work 40 hrs per week on such a contract ...more

I agree it's good to see they are not burning alot of cash as they grow the two new verticals which IMO will bring solid revs if well promoted.
Comment by swyint123888 on Nov 22, 2022 8:44am
Yes 2023 could hit 20 million in AI if phase 2 is 10 million at the very least....20 million will help but it's clearly not enough....we need phase 2 to be off the chains and way way more than 4 or 5 million in other AI contracts, we have 380 million shares don't forget
Comment by scottrose on Nov 22, 2022 8:32am
I do think AI will be big going forward. I am waiting to see how the nexalogy President steer the division. Hope they will give us a breakdown next quater now that EV and Medi are already in the market.

The reason is, they don't have an Ai sales team in North America. All their Ai revenue is project based, but they don't generate monthly Ai revenue. They could generate Ai monthly cashflow, if they would like to do. But as of now, they aren't interestend in selling licences of NexaSMART. This would be the their cash generator. But ask Marshall why he doesn't invest in a sales ...more

That's a good idea, this could boost sales number and get NEXA out there.

And as I said economies of scale. Here are some numbers to factor in: Canada has around 1.3 million businesses with employees. A large part of them are located in the province of Ontario, which counts roughly 480,000 locations. Quebec and British Colombia followed, with approximately 270,000 and 200,000 units, respectively. Over 150,000 employer enterprises operate in the industry of professional ...more
