Yes, there is a great deal of evidence that even with large floats a macro event can sometimes have multiple stocks punch way above their weight. Pick a stock and look at the float and the run-up to February 2021 as one example. The other positive for DM, if there is one, is that investors, including insiders are buying into these private placements.
