LOL blatant disinfo...keep drinking the petro lobbyist kool aid. Q3 and Q4 2023 had consecutive record EV sales for Ford-Lincoln. https://caredge.com/guides/electric-vehicle-market-share-and-sales# GM did see a slight decrease from Q3 to Q4 but is still trending upward. It's okay Rabiger the EVs won't hurt you. I will be here when you reach the acceptance stage.  IMO it ...more

The federal government wants Canadians to switch to electric vehicles. Are they interested? | CBC News Gov't won't make it's 2035 schedule!!! 25% loss of distance in COLD WEATHER....and where is the COLD -40 weather....CANADA. TRUDEAU...it's his pipe dream.....won't happen. Read all the reports out there..........hog wash!!!
Comment by Forge24 on Jan 17, 2024 7:13pm
The areas where the vast majority of Canadians live very rarely reach -40 degrees...and I'm not sure if you've ever tried starting a gas or diesel engine in -40 degree weather, they can't handle it very well either. Starting a diesel engine in those conditions can be impossible, if not damn near. Not to mention fuel pumps have been known to stop working from -20 degrees and below.  ...more

Ever lived in Alberta/Saskatchewan/Manitoba/Ottawa/Montreal etc etc.....read the report as to what cold weather does to batteries...EVs run on batteries....I can still get 400 miles per fillup in my gas powered vehicle.......where have you been burying your head. When its cold plug in the block heater, car starts and lets see...oh...I still get the best milage and I can fillup anywhere...try that ...more

Right on. And a lot of the Province of B.C. can get its share of deep cold as well when Mother Nature decides its time. Maybe not so much in the last 20 years but don't believe it won't come back. I've lived in it for 83 years and went through it all. A lot of ups and a lot of downs temperature wise and snow wise. You cannot convince me that it is all warm from here on. Starting my ...more

Trudeau your dreaming and so is your enviroment minister!!!!!! HYBREDS maybe the answer...but not 100% EVs!!!

Forge, give it up EV's are almost dead, they are on life support
Comment by Forge24 on Jan 18, 2024 7:48pm
The only thing on life support is your grip on reality.  We can revisit this next year at this time as well, and the year after that, and so on and so on. They aren't perfect for all applications currently but they will get there eventually. Sales continue to increase year over year regardless... https://www.reuters.com/business/autos-transportation/global-electric-car-sales-rose-31 ...more

The following two articles demonstrate the propensity for some to argue without looking at the big picture. Don't for a second think this won't go unnoticed. China’s EVs Consumed As Much Energy As Ireland In 2023 It's not as big a problem as you might think. https://insideevs.com/news/705241/china-evs-energy-grid/   "Prolonged drought across southern China since mid ...more

EV's have not been thought about enough...making declarations that 2035 we will be electric. I say bull cookies... Trudeau wake up.. climate conditions dictate our use of EV's. Oh and pickup trucks.. let's not forget electric transports.. yeah. A lot of thought has gone into this...
