Dolly Varden Silver Corp V.DV

Alternate Symbol(s):  DOLLF

Dolly Varden Silver Corporation is a mineral exploration company. The Company is focused on advancing its Kitsault Valley Project, which combines the Dolly Varden Project and the Homestake Ridge Project, which is located in the Golden Triangle of British Columbia, Canada, about 25 kilometers by road to tide water. The 163 square kilometer project hosts the high-grade silver and gold resources of Dolly Varden and Homestake Ridge along with the past producing Dolly Varden and Torbrit silver mines. It is prospective for hosting further precious metal deposits, being on the same structural and stratigraphic belts that host numerous other, on-trend, high-grade deposits, such as Eskay Creek and Brucejack. The Kitsault Valley Project also contains the big bulk property, which is prospective for porphyry and skarn style copper and gold mineralization, similar to other such deposits in the region. The Company also owns the option agreement in the southern portion of the Big Bulk Project.

DV Announces 2024 Resource Expansion Program @ Kitsault

DV Announces 2024 Resource Expansion Program @ Kitsault
As gold prices hit record highs, the spotlight is moving toward the silver market & its prospects with some analysts seeing a reconsideration of the gold-silver ratio and substantial growth in silver value. (Source: https://www.ig.com/en/news-and-trade-ideas/is-silver-the-new-gold--240423)

Located amid this dynamic market, Dolly Varden Silver (DV.v DOLLF) is taking advantage of a golden opportunity having outlined its 2024 resource expansion and discovery-focused exploration drill program at its 100% owned Kitsault Valley Project yesterday.

Starting with three drills, an initial 25,000m of diamond drilling is planned with the focus to follow up on new discoveries as well as step out from wide, higher-grade intercepts from the 2023 drilling.

With mobilization in the first week of May, the drill program will be split approximately 50/50 between the Dolly Varden Property and the Homestake Ridge Property, with an overall project split into thirds on the Homestake Silver deposit area, Wolf deposit area and to project wide exploration targets with new discovery potential.

DV CEO, Shawn Khunkhun, commented:
"Our drill results from Homestake Silver were among the highest-grade gold and silver intercepts anywhere in the Golden Triangle in 2023; our priority with this early start is to continue with step-outs as well as infill drilling to confirm continuity of the potentially bulk-mineable mineralization. Further south, silver mineralization at Wolf remains wide open for expansion and this seasons' introduction of directional drilling technology will allow for highly accurate placement of drill intercepts"

The Kistault Valley Project
Located in BC's Golden Triangle, an area known for its mineral wealth and historical mining activity, the Kitsault Valley Project covers an area of 163 square km and boasts a 140M oz high-grade and pure-silver resource combining the Homestake Silver Deposit and Dolly Varden Mine.

Prospective for hosting further precious metal deposits, Kitsault is on the same structural and stratiagraphic belts that host numerous other high-grade deposits including the Eskay Creek Mine and Brucejack.

This is significant because, Eskay Creek started as a high-grade silver mine until the later discovery of a strong gold system turned it into a producer of both silver and gold, becoming Canada's highest-grade gold mine in producing over 3M oz of high-grade gold and the 5th largest silver mine in the world with the production of over 160M oz of silver.

Notably, Kitsault has already shown high-grade gold potential reminiscent of Eskay Creek and similar to Brucejack with the discovery of 'bonanza-style gold assay results'.
