GOLD + ECUADOR - MUST BELIEVE IN BOTH TO BE INTO EGX?

The Ecuador +  Gold play... Why would you choose EGX over INV - Not saying that to upset anyone, really just want to see if there is a reason...

INV has a 3x+ higher grade gold deposit (3,500,000 ounces at 3g/t) and more importantly lots of cash

THE COMPANY IS TRADING BELOW CASH - $18,000,000 IN THE BANK ... AND ITS MARKET CAP IS $12,000,000

Also seems to be a good team in place with IAMGOLD as largest shareholder is not a bad thing!

Meanwhile EGX current market cap is 25% higher than INV and has nowhere near the strong cash position of INV

Your 100% correct...  Financially, INV looks to be better off than EGX and has a better grade AU. This is all IMHO...  If you research over the past 5 years, a lot of the top players in the mining industry have had similar gold yeilds/grade as EGX and all been profitable. (pre 2013 gold prices). I have shares at .06 and .08. in EGX. INV SP is @.26. Profit margin on EGX, imho, if we ...more

Well said.    I'm in it for the multiples we can make off of it. I'd rather triple or quadruple than double, even if it comes with more risk/ waiting.

BrendanC thanks for the response and you make some good points all round - I think Ecuador is an emerging place (hopefully!) The one thing I want to correct is that you seem to think EGX is cheaper because its share is $0.07 and INV is $0.26... But INV just has 5 times less shares outstanding (50,000,000 shares total compared to EGX 250,000,000 shares) meaning that INV has a cheaper market cap ...more

Have a read... https://www.marketwatch.com/story/financial-press-investment-banker-to-gold-miner-ecuador-gold-and-coppers-glenn-laing-explains-why-he-thinks-this-is-his-best-investment-to-date-2013-12-16 I was not aware of the consolidation. So INV is in fact trading at .26 non the less. Where do you see the projections going? EGX is now at about .065, Conservativily, I'm guessing at least ...more

As for PXA, This is in fact a project of Lainge's. I have taken little interest in it other than a little research in the beggining and within the last few days. I plan to spend some time doing some DD on their plans and in fact may invest. If you research PXA and find some positive information, please share. Would save me some time. Best of luck!!

Great post BrendanC, exactly the same reasons I am here. This looks like it will be a buyout, just a matter of time. They are finishing up their PEA so they can get the best deal possible for shareholders. I have no problems with delays if it means a better potential buyout price :) Just curious, has anyone contacted the company lately to see how long until they conclude testing? I haven't ...more

I requested an update and timeframe information on Tuesday late afternoon. No response yet but like Dilengence Due pointed out, they are busy with PXA so Jeanny may take a few extra days to respond. Alright with me. If you get a responce before I do, please let me know. Thanks

Thanks again BrendanC - The article you mention sounds nice but this is what worries me, at the end of the article Legal Disclaimer/Disclosure: A fee has been paid for the production and distribution of this Report.  So Laing/EGX paid for that great article about himself? On the buyout amount, you aren't looking at it the right way - Acquirers don't look at the absolute ...more

This is so embarrassing... It's like taking a girl home from the bar only to find out she's a hooker. I thought you were an interested party looking to invest or to actually bring something to the table for others to invest. I didn't realized you were a basher. My face is sooo red!!!! 10 of your 16 forum posts are bashing EGX while the other 5 or 6 are pumping stocked trading less than ...more

Not an everyday stockhouse user at all... I'm very bullish on gold long term and I'm pro-Ecuador - I think the country is emerging - Has a lot going for it and is heading in the right direction When I started doing some digging into INV it just seemed like a WAY smarter move... Then I came on here to see if I was missing something and if maybe someone on here could explain what I' ...more

Oh go away already.  You can get information yourself, if you don't understand it then you shouldn't be buying any stocks. A forum like this is not where one should come do their DD.  And stop trying to be the victim. Its very transparent that you're trying to get people to back out of EGX (for whatever reason).  And finally.. bashers tend to never write " ...more

McColgan1 = 100 posts, 99% pumping EGX (and Phoenix Gold too???) ... Does that sound right?
Comment by McColgan1 on Jul 25, 2014 2:20pm
Ya it sounds right. Both companies have big upside. I dont see the point in bashing a stock on here, so of course they would all be "pumping". I'm also in GCO but I havent commented on there in a while.  Bashing on stockhouse just shows you're either butthurt or a tool. You're going to have absolutely no sway on the SP. What was your point?
