Triagulating the Firing StoryI have now had two separate people relay what they believe the story is behind the firing (both have an indirect involvement with AUR and one has been dead-on in the past about personal gossip). Surprisingly, their stories are pretty different, with the only parts that overlap involving a dispute over corporate strategy and a breach of confidence regarding that dispute, i.e., relaying it to a third person. That's it, so I discount everything beyond that overlap until we hear more (but we probably will never hear more officially if the Inmet/AUR merger failure is any indication as reasons were never formally given for that break up). What this firing means for shareholders at the AGM (if nothing breaks before then)is that Dr. Gill will probably throw us a bone to distract us from this issue by increasing the dividend substantially or paying off whomever is necessary to get La Verde drilling underway again. Great news in both cases. I suspect that this week is the last buying opportunity before the news next week regarding Chilean Stock Exchange and Andacollo Final Feasibility Study, et al.
