Electra Battery Materials Corp. V.ELBM

Alternate Symbol(s):  ELBM

Electra is building North America’s only fully integrated, localized and environmentally sustainable battery materials park, which will host cobalt and nickel sulfate production plants, a large-scale lithium-ion battery recycling facility, and battery precursor materials production, to become a reliable supplier to both North American and global EV and battery supply chains.

RE:RE:RE:RE:RE:Glencoe is shutting down Mutanda mine as unprofitable With all due respect for Trent’s comments on Twitter......”responsible supply management” on Glencore’s part for closing DRC operations doesn’t alleviate questions about whether expanding production in North America makes strategic sense for GC.  Especially in the near or short-term...doesn’t this signal an incentive to delay meaningful movement to close the deal with FCC?  This tweet still falls short of addressing Goldfather’s (and others) earlier point about time frames being stretched out or ill defined.  I get that the future still belongs with technological stimulation for cobalt demand in the long-run ...but, that is hardly reassuring at the moment. Heck, in the “long-run,” we’ll all be dead!.  It would be nice to have something a little more to hang our hat on than just casual remarks about “future demand” and observations of  “responsible supply management” on Glencore’s part.
Best to all-
