RE:Building?

RE:Building?Winter construction in Nothern Ontario happened last winter and it will happen this winter and next.  I have been involved in the construction industry for over 45 years and have been involved in winter (ICI sector) construction for every one of those years.  Its more expensive, its harder and its cold out there.  Typically it costs more to stop or delay a project than it does to get at it.  As projects go there wont be a lot of concrete involved in this one.

What is of concern to me is the fact that getting a steel structure together in my market in Ontario is 12 months out right now for conventional steel and over 12 for a pre-engineered structure.  My guess is the building will be conventional steel.  I hope a placeholder was negotiated months ago or there wont be production in 2022.

Its not the cold that is an issue its a LACK of PLANING that is the issue!
