I respectfully suggest that you talk with your "banc". Regulations can clearly be different in various juristictions, but there are two issues with the "sell and re-purchase" action that you describe:
- The transaction Costs in Euros that you identify are enormous.... (example) in my case, just by waiting a few days the Old shares, which I have spread over numerous accounts, will simply be replaced, at zero cost, by the new shares with quantity reduced by 1/18
- The sale probably triggers a Capital Gains cost in terms of Income Taxes, if your original purchase was (hopefully) less than .325
I urge that you consider discussion with your Banc
under the actual share-split circumstances and even if your agreement with their custodial regulations verify their actions as legitimate, surely a big discount to normal charges are appropriate, when other parts of the stock-trading world do the share-split action update in shareholder accounts for free,
