I wonder if the volume lately is people in the know getting in or getting out. Lol, guess we'll find out.
Comment by TennisStar on Apr 05, 2022 4:48pm
NASDAQ is simply amazing. Faster than I had initially hoped for.  The share consolidation is needed and....as trent had put it, will be done at the appropriate time.  This explains the share jump and volume. Super!

Consolidation WILL DESTROY the SP...like it ALWAYS does

Nouveau Monde Graphites did not do so well...after consolidation..they did a 10:1

Based on a 18 to 1 consolidation, the share price needs to stay at 23 cents or more to qualify for Nasdaq listing.   Looks like a price correction buffer has been built in.  Anyone who has been around this stock for a while knew this was coming.
Comment by Goldfather on Apr 05, 2022 6:51pm
Marshall that would be  $4.14 usd -- 18 X .23  Is that what youre saying... the NASDAQ  has a minimum price   of  $4.00 usd. ?
Comment by Marshall on Apr 05, 2022 6:57pm
As far as I know the Nasdaq has a minimum requirement of $4.  $4 divided by 18 is 22.22 cents so lets agree on 23 cents.
Comment by Marshall on Apr 05, 2022 6:59pm
That would be 23 cents in US currency.
Comment by Marshall on Apr 05, 2022 7:05pm
23 cents US converts to 29 cents CND.

Assuming these are the guidelines and the current share price holds on the fence,  there will be some serious nail bitting going on before this goes for revue with the Nasdaq.  No guarantees here,
Comment by NatureBoy on Apr 05, 2022 7:27pm
Okay...that's what I thought. Thanks for your observation Marshall.  It is just that the timing seems off to me with so little margin for executing the uplifting. Nail biting is right!!! :)

My uneducated guess is new 52 week high. Then ..... I don't want to say Lol.
Comment by Marshall on Apr 05, 2022 8:11pm
It's been my experience that a split like this usually has a negative affect in the short term.  Time will tell.  I'm sure there will be all sorts of opinions from the usual crowd.  Nobody really knows despite their best efforts to convince us otherwise.  We will see how the market reacts tomorrow.
Comment by Jordsword on Apr 05, 2022 8:16pm
Trent has always maintained that the consolidation and listing would come at a time when other catalysts are being announced. I'm holding on to my shares tight
Comment by crk on Apr 05, 2022 8:21pm
I agree Jordsword. This is the tip of the iceberg.
Comment by Starkicker on Apr 05, 2022 10:21pm
I'm wondering if Doug Ford and his delegation somehow managed to convince the Biden administration to remove subsidies off American built EVs. Coupled with the battery plant in Windsor and the $250 million investment by GM for the Oshawa plant to build EVs, the supply chain and market are now in place and fully funded.
Comment by Marshall on Apr 05, 2022 8:26pm
Who knows, they might have another announcement.  Again, nobody knows.  It's a coin toss
Comment by Mazz45 on Apr 05, 2022 8:28pm
Agree but based on Trent saying uplist will be tied to a major milestone of offtakes, I'm guessing this has something to do with the $2B federal budget on mining and processing.  To be announced on Thursday. Maybe an acceleration of our battery park... volume was $5M today... someone knows something.
Comment by NatureBoy on Apr 05, 2022 8:29pm
Will be anxiously awaiting those "other catalysts" being announced this week as Trent has assured shareholders previously. Glta
Comment by Mazz45 on Apr 05, 2022 8:48pm
Trent's a smart guys... he's been patiently waiting for this moment for 2 years.  Somethings brewing. my guess is the $2B federal budget on Thursday... just too coincidental.  We'll see!  GLTAL!
Comment by Carson1983 on Apr 05, 2022 11:20pm
I agree with Mazz45. I am quite sure Trent knows the risks of a RS but for the right reasons and or time it can be positive. ELBM is not an old large cap trying to survive. aka GE. I feel Trent still has another announcement waiting in the wings.
Comment by Goldfather on Apr 05, 2022 11:41pm
let's see what happens tomorrow. Mell could do a big NR , or wait till after Monday.
Comment by dothemathpeople on Apr 06, 2022 9:42am
Maybe...and maybe not.  I also noticed that Trent is the CEO only now...no longer the President?  His 5 years must almost be up, no?
Comment by NatureBoy on Apr 05, 2022 7:11pm
Marshall...OTC closed around 26.6 cents USD today. If 23 cents  is the benchmark, doesn't that seem risky for timing this RS with so little margin if erosion in share price occurs  before the  April 11 date? What am I missing here?  Just trying to better understand the logic for timing this move. I knew it was coming, but the Marin "for error" has me wondering ...more
