All Is Quiet On The EOG Board

The conversation has died down.  At least Africa Oil, probably our largest shareholder, received another Prime dividend and renegotiated the terms of their loan agreement.

OK, I will liven it up a bit.  What does anyone think about the $10M investment in JHI Associates? Coming about 1 week before JHI announced the second well drilled on the block by the operator was another dry hole! Anybody curious about the timing of the $10M going out the door?    Just a coincedence?

More exposure to blocks around might give more insight in your own blocks. But more importantly,  it gives more candidates coming around the corner to buy out Eco Atlantic. They never made a secret about it that they are not really interested in oil exploration but rather in selling their block to the highest bidder. Maybe it may stirr up things instead of waiting till Tullow takes the first ...more

Small correction. Eco is VERY interested in oil exploration. They have no interest in oil production! I think you will get mixed reviews arond here regarding Eco's investment into JHI. Personally, I think it is a good thing. Guyana/Suriname is the number one exploration prospect in the world right now. The more exposure we get, the better. As for the timing of the announcement. Thanks IceDog for the correction. I meant Oil Production. ECO is indeed VERY keen on Oil exploration but it requires deep pockets for Oil Production. Luckily, there are plenty of candidates with deep pockets to buy out Eco Atlantic such as Total, ExxonMobile, Hess, CNOOC, Indian and Arabic Oil Companies to diversify their risks in the Gulf region in realm of emerging threats...  Maybe an ...more
