So what 3rd party tech is so good E3 drops own tech?

This close to the finish line and now E3 pulls a 180 to not use it's own tech to go commercial. That on the surface is not a good look. A lot of time and money spent just to head in a different direction. So who is so much better to cause the switch now?

Lilac Solutions? Are they tied up to any other projects?

KTS has been doing some pretty specatacular work in combo with Century Lithium and would be free to couple with E3.

I doubt Standard Lithium is going to share it's tech.

Livent has been in DLE for some time, but don't think it is them.

So what are people's thoughts. Who's tech is so good E3 just pulled a 180 and is not going commercial with it's own tech?

The finish line is still 30 miles away. Ultimately, they're not a DLE tech company. They're a lithium extraction and processing company. If they were a DLE company, they wouldn't have had to buy their resource and royalty and worry about permitting. The only question is how this affects project economics. Most likely, it was the fastest and most economic way to get to production. With ...more

The entire start of the company was based on developing it's own DLE tech. The whole original thesis of E3 was to take advantage of the known lithium sources that was a nusance to the exsisting oil industry. Yes they went and got permits for lithium extraction which is to be a new industry in Alberta. Lithium extraction is not really a mining process. All of the new lithiium produces are ...more

The market seems fine with it. Almost all lithium stocks are deeply red today, E3 is up.

I have to agree with wanderer. Producing , maintaining and upgrading a proprietary product is expensive. Make it, as said, when up and running profitable look at it but for now use the DLE most useable and handy. I have seen different times we could have developed our own product but why use the resources when you dould buy it off the shelf. Also Chris has been getting flax for awhile now but I ...more

It's not a 180 surprise. Chris has said since June, this was possible @ Start to start producing fastest---- even if there are short-term trade-offs. Later implement own DLE. I personally just don't like the continued confidential l, when all other players have laid out their cards. On-top of multiple other still loose ends not clarified from past pr's. Will go with 2024 is E3 go at ...more

How is it not a 180? The entire original premise of the company was to build a way to take the well established knowledge of Albert oilfield brines and find a way to extract the lithium which is now more in demand. So the company seemed to be on the way to having built that process with a new proprietary tech. Has gotten all the way to building a large PP with that idea. Now when going to ...more

Like i said, Chris has said this potential DLE route, for different reasons, even before the pilot was built. It's all in the past DLE reasonings. Of course the data will come out. It needs to have total clarity.
