EW's Romanian assets, Natural Gas And Sanctions on Russia

EW's assets in Romania are natural gas weighted. We know this.

Romania belongs to European Union and Europe is desperate for natural gas while trying to find producing countries (i.e. Qatar etc.) to replace the Russian nat gas. We know this too.

Thanks also the high price of nat gas in Europe and the European sanctions on the Russian nat gas, NIS is incentivized to drill EW's assets in Romania, so the value of EW's stake is these assets has significantly increased over the last weeks.

With EW being at 10 cents, we are still scratching the bottom, because the market has not yet priced in the value from the gassy Romanian assets. Currently, EW's Enterprise Value is associated only with the value of the producing assets in New Zealand.

You nailed it. All that gas which was "uneconomical" a year ago, is now for sure economical and same with the NZ oil production. Plus all that cash, shells trade at 2X cash, so EW should be 10-11 with no assets. Romania and New Zealand basically take that value and put it on steroids. But there were a handful of old flippers that kept buying at 5-6 and selling at 7-8, keeping the price ...more
