Alton block rant and more

Nova Scotia: Review panel recommends moratorium on fracking should continue.
  • Hydraulic fracturing should not proceed at the present time in Nova Scotia.
  • Independent research is needed to measure health, environment and economic impacts.
  • Nova Scotia should design and recognize a test for "community permission," with regards to hydraulic fracturing.*
Shame on Nova Scotia! So says me. No wonder so many of your children leave the province. They need jobs and real opportunities. The moratorium on fracking is cositng you 1500 jobs lost, 150 million in royalties lost and 1 billion a year in investment lost (1/3 of which would be local to Nova Scotia)**
The same Wheeler report also says
"There is currently no evidence of catastrophic threats to public health in the short-to-medium term that would necessitate the banning of hydraulic fracturing outright," the report concludes.
So, there you have it. Nova Scotia is on hold. Turning their backs on proven safe technology all the while driving around in their cars and cranking up the heat during the winter.
We owe a big thank you to the team at Forent Energy for seeing the writing on the wall and protecting shareholders. Their decision to halt investment in the Alton Block, as per April update, was prudent and showed foresight.
Today
Montgomery: HIGH IMPACT EXPLORATION, a very promising drill site identified.
Twinning: 3 100% successful infill wells drilled and completed. Optimization near completion. Significant increase in production. Don’t expect a new release on this but do expect to see details in the MD&A release in November.
Wayne and Provost progressing, new pump ordered and agreement with partner/s progressing.
I am thinking we may attract the attention of intermediates. A partner with deep pockets could crack this open and forent could suddenly move into 1000+ BOE per day.  BUY! DYOD

Nova Scotia votes to stay a welfare province. Nothing new there, it's the Eastern Canadian way after all. As far as Forent is concerned, they made a great decision to abandon NS and focus their efforts in a more sensible environment. I for one would like to hear more on the go-forward plan for Monty also, the optimization of the infill drilling. Where are we at with BOE? Its been a little too ...more
