Press Release.

Press Release.H.L.M. has a lot on the go. Check this out. Steptoo. News from Infolink Technologies Ltd. New Interpretation Spurs Positive Recommendations and Additional Staking at Houston Lake Mining's Tib Lake PGM Project 17:20 EDT Monday, July 26, 2004 SUDBURY, Ontario--(Infolink)--July 26, 2004--Houston Lake Mining Inc. ("Houston Lake", TSX.V:HLM) is pleased report that the Company has received positive recommendations for further exploration after a thorough review of past programs which included field audits, petrographic analysis and a new interpretation on the Company's 100 percent-owned, 1632 hectare (4030 acre) Tib Lake PGM Project located in the Thunder Bay Mining District of NW Ontario. The ownership interest is subject to a 2.5% NSR. Houston Lake has recently staked an additional 272 hectares (672 acres) to cover a total of 1904 hectares (4703 acres). The Company now controls over 90% of the prospective Lower Zone of the Tib gabbro. A new interpretation of the PGE (palladium-platinum-gold) occurrences on the property indicates that the mineralization is mainly associated with primary igneous layering similar in style to that of the prolific Merensky Reef of South Africa's Bushveld Complex. Similarities between the Kuhner Occurrence and West Shore Showing suggest that PGE mineralization may be traceable for a distance of 300m (1000ft). A $500,000 program of detailed magnetic surveys, channel sampling and a 2000m (6560ft) diamond drilling program is independently recommended. The Tib Lake property is located in the Lac Des Iles (LDI) area just 15 km. (9 mi.) from the 15,000 tpd mill at the Roby Zone open pit mine of North American Palladium Ltd. A $40 million underground expansion is currently underway at the nearby mine. The Tib gabbro, with a surface exposure of some 25 square km. (10 square miles), is the largest intrusion of the LDI suite of rocks and, as such, is a prime target for PGE exploration. The 6.5km (3.9mile) long Lower Zone contains all known PGE occurrences at Tib Lake and is the primary focus of Houston Lake's recently completed acquisition strategy. In excess of $1.0 million in exploration has been expended to date on the Tib Lake property. Four PGE occurrences have been identified: the Kuhner, the West Shore, the Road and the Jewelweed. The vicinity of the Kuhner Zone has been the main target of previous exploration. The Kuhner Zone remains open to depth below previous drill intersections of 18.47 metres (60.6 feet) of core length grading 1.68 g/t PGE's at an average depth of 35 metres (100 feet) and 22 metres (72.2 feet) of core length grading 1.456 g/t PGE's at an average depth of 65 metres (213.2 feet). Houston Lake commissioned Dr. Walter Peredery to review data from previous exploration programs, to conduct field checks and to make recommendations if warranted for future exploration at Tib Lake. Dr. Peredery is eminently qualified to carry out such work through his extensive experience in nickel-copper-PGE mineralization with Inco Ltd. in the Sudbury area (Ontario) and Thompson Belt (Manitoba) and is well acquainted with Russian and South African PGE deposits and the Lac Des Iles area. Dr. Peredery reports: "Sulphide mineralization is present in two different environments and can be categorized as primary and secondary. Primary sulphide mineralization is associated with primary magmatic layering, and secondary mineralization is associated with variable textured gabbro rocks. In many respects the gossanous pegmatoid norite (GPN) layer is analogous to the Merensky Reef (MR) in the Bushveld complex in South Africa. Both the GPN and the MR form primary layers, both are pegmatitic in character, both are melanocratic, both are noritic in nature, and both carry base metals and precious metals. In the Bushveld complex the MR has great lateral continuity, is relatively thin (avg. ~18cms), but has good grades of precious metals (8-12g/t). In the Tib Lake Complex the continuity of the GPN has been disrupted by faulting, the mineralized layer is relatively thick (12m), and it carries up to 3g/t of total precious metals." The West Shore Showing is located about 300m (1000ft) to the northwest of the Kuhner Occurrence. Dr. Peredery notes: "Thus on the basis of the lithological and mineralogical similarities it is tentatively concluded that the Kuehner and the West Shore stratigraphic sections may be one and the same stratigraphic horizon." A $500,000 exploration program is recommended by Dr. Peredery to evaluate the interpreted primary mineralization at Tib Lake. Channel sampling will be reoriented to a north-south direction to better assess the primary layering on the Kuhner stripped area. Detailed magnetic geophysical surveys will be conducted between the Kuhner and West Shore Occurrences to locate the highly magnetic, PGE-bearing ultramafic layers. A 2000m (6560ft) diamond drilling program is planned to test depth extensions under the Kuhner Zone and to test the continuity between the Kuhner and West Shore Occurrences. Houston Lake is currently reviewing alternatives to advance the Tib PGM project. Houston Lake is actively exploring for Gold, Platinum Group Metals and Rare Metals with a strategic focus on NW Ontario. The Company has a total of 16,832,195 common shares issued and outstanding. The common shares of Houston Lake Mining Inc. trade through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol HLM.
