RE:It's easier to automate in the sky?i am not sure what experience you have with AI etc. But to suggest that it is easier to automate in the sky is riduculous. AI learning comes with repetitive events which may not happen with any frequency in airspace. DDC has not had nearly enough experience in the air to make this happen without risk. First mover advantage is not the most important thing especially in tech. The biggest market is when the delivery costs present more value than alternative and at a cost that makes most buyers jump in. The real question is - can this company survive with the burn rate - thats what you are betting on. Further their assocaition with Air Canada, who without a government bail out may be bankrupt. And one last point is, DDC is hardly a first movers. Zipline from SF has been flying with paying customers in Africa for a couple of years - their reasoning was to get money for delivery in a less regulated market.
