Air Canada and its impact on DDC is complicated and I don't see how this is positive for DDC. In fact, Transat deal diverts funds away from DDC and finances for AC short term. Fed bailout, Transat $190M deal, and earnings out today will be a lot of information out at the same time. So far, no indication of how this affects DDC except massive hemorrhage of $$$ and no prospects short term of a ...more

Fair analysis, but by completing this aquisition it really puts to bed any fears that AC is going under. They have obviously worked things out with the government and have a clear path ahead to be able to do something like this.  Takeaway: Air Canada's flex shows that DDC's partner is here to stay and is still committed to expanding its areas of interest.
Comment by InvestForce on Feb 12, 2021 5:29am
Totally agree wth those points. Wasn't the original takeover deal for $750M and now it's only $190M? If so, that could be a big reason for the sigh of relief as well. Regardless of the short term prospects for Air Canada, DDC has a longer term contract and first to market advantage that will serve them well, over the long term. So, I agree that Air Canada showing signs of resilience is ...more

Yikes! Air Canada posted biggest annual loss in 2 decades and $1.38 B cash burn. Long term they could do well but short term DDC project won't likely take off. It just means it will happen later but it will happen.
Comment by GoodTimesAhead on Feb 12, 2021 7:39am
What project do you mean?  They are already being actively promoted by Air Canada. The Condor is even listed as an option on their website and they have a sales team. This has been in full swing for a while and has landed them their initial customers.  Was there another new initiative that was supposed to begin?
Comment by InvestForce on Feb 12, 2021 7:50am
Putting it all together, domestic cargo and revenue is up so expansion to what was once mentioned as 100 routes or more potential can continue to grow. I can't recall where and when I saw that but, correct me if I'm wrong, there were even more routes to be instituted than currently available.
Comment by GoodTimesAhead on Feb 12, 2021 8:20am
You are probably right that they might not expand the team already in place working with Drone Delivery Canada, but let's hope the people in place can keep up the good work. Even if they get overwhelmed with enquired, they could hopefully then hand them off to the DDC sales team.  I know that Air Canada Cargo has been mentioned many times as a place where they want to focus on growing ...more

The role of the head person at AC in charge of drone sales is "Global Cargo Drones Sales Strategy"...  AC has a lot to gain financially through innovation and drones... Due to the nature of the deal, they have very little overhead. They probably leverage their current network and team to get sales going. if you look through history, hard times breeds innovation.

You just keep trying to find negatives for DDC now since you sold long ago. "But I'm not bashing and long term DDC is OK". Give it up. Ya blew it. Try and buy on the pullback now and just hold. This thing is going over $3 easy and just getting started.

Canada post (rural areas) would be a nice fit don't you think....
Comment by InvestForce on Feb 12, 2021 1:44pm
No, you have it wrong. Please don't misunderstand me. You keep doing that. I posted shock about how tough times are for Air Canada but how domestic cargo is up about 7% in 2020. I don't post to scare or to hype. I post to inform and voice concerns. It's actually funny that I don't need multiple accounts because I can post from all my multiple personalities and brain flows from ...more

This is why you diversify. I also have 700 shares of Air Canada. Just wait until they get that fed money. You have to spread your money around. Not all your eggs in one basket. I'm also 200 shares in Boeing just for fun because when the airline industry gets bailed out it will be good for production. DiVerSiFiCaTiOn. You don't have to only be invested in FLT

Please just stop Brad. I don't even want to be mean, but stop BSing everyone so they might... think your are smart and then follow your advice which usually involves selling or buying DDC to essentially improve your own position--whatever it happens to be at any given moment. Let's see... For someone who posts 3x a day on stockhouse, wouldn't you have posted something on their ...more

Are you asking me why I only post on this board? Well, it all started with one you extremely pumping the stock. (For your own gain). Look at my history. I haven't posted in like 3 years before posting on FLT. Do you think I just stopped trading for 3 years? Are you that dumb? lol. And then all the immature name calling started.and there was back and forth. And then I stopped posting because ...more

So Brad.. let be honest here. In 2021 you posted on:  BBD.A CHK TOG WCP But you must have meant you hadn't posted anywhere except those few places. But still no Air Canada. Keep it up Brad. And yes, I'm in DDC. Yes I'm long and consistently so for all the reasons I've mentioned. I'm also in the green and could sell but I don't want to because I have ...more

Wow haha that's quite the obsessed research. Now please list the number of posts in each. I think maybe 2 in BBD.B Maybe 3 in TOG. AND LIKE 100 HERE. lol. There is nothing to post about Air Canada... Everyone knows they are in talks with the fed government to get a bail out. Announcement will be soon..what else is there to say? And for the record I didnt even bring Air Canada into the picture. ...more

GoodTimesAhead you told me I was BSing when I said sell on Feb 11 you replied Feb 12 saying I'm full of it. (see below)Just imagine how much money you would have made if you would have sold and bought back in at 1.44 like I did.. just think about how many more shares you'd have. You must be really kicking yourself for being so scared. No wonder you are so jealous. You missed out making an ...more

Original post, me replying to someone talking about Air Canada. You think you can come in here and tell people what to say or what to reply to? Lol You're crazy man. Definitely some control / loneliness issues going on there GoodTimesAhead

So, I'm a non-hostile manner, I'm actually curious about what you think this company will do this calendar year? Are you bullish overall? Or bearish. Either are fine. Perhaps bullish with lots of volatility? I guess  I'm asking do you think this company is going to get some real money making contracts by scaling up with the condor/and or converting some of those LOIs. Is ...more

Any stock that goes up quickly into bubble territory drops like a rock. I hope that isn't FLT. I'm guessing it remains in the $2-$3 range for the rest of the year. I'll ride the waves. 3-5 years from now this will be a multi billion dollar company. For now I think the half billion valuation is slightly high, but still fair. Which is roughly $2-$2.50 a share. 3-5 years I expect it to be ...more

Brad, what is your take on eHang... It went from 11 usd to 123 usd in a few months...
Comment by brad753 on Feb 15, 2021 7:37pm
Can't really compare a company like ehang to DDC. One is backed by the EU and is in China.. massively populated country and can potentially transport people, medics, to emergency situations. Compared to a company that might deliver some vaccines to remote locations.. the market cap of Ehang is 6 billion. 12 times more than DDC. And I think right now... That's fair..DDC has more growing up ...more

What do you mean back by the EU? They're just conducting tests there? So having a multi-billion dollar valuation with very little revenue is okay because it is a chinese company... Why wouldn't the condor transport people down the line... I understand what you're saying but I don't see how you are okay with one having a multi-billion dollar valuation... and the other one is over ...more

Maybe he means supported by the EU similar to how we are looking to be supported by the U.S. Markets.  The Germans are still feeling optimistic. Open up another 3.? % this morning overseas.  https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/quote/ABB.F/
Comment by brad753 on Feb 15, 2021 7:45pm
Another way to put it, FLT would need a market cap of roughly 6-7 billion to get to approx. $25 a share.... The marker cap of Air Canada right now is 8 billion. So unless you think DDC is worth as much as Air Canada... don't hold your breath for $25 a share lol. Maybe $10 a share in a few years if they grow quickly. For now $2-$3 is fair.. $4-$6 would put it in a bubble at the moment. And we ...more

GoodTinesAhead here is a post a day later when the stock was already down 30% begging for my advice, asking me if it's going to be ok after you missed the boat..so pathetic lol
Comment by pkazzz on Mar 10, 2021 9:22am
Your a fear monger! You said that the 30% drop had nothing to do with the market. Really! We know your agenda. Alot of people who are long ...work. Of course they have interest in what fellow investors have to say. We are not all day traders. All you talk about is how good you are in predicting the price. You offer nothing in terms of company info. I know what you are.

Yes, Brad as always you are demonstrating your acute awareness (sarcasm).  I see that my asking for genuine thoughts and an attempts at a real discussion with you was just too much. I will also make sure to include clearer punctuation so that you can follow the conversation.
