Canada NewsWire

TORONTO March 3, 2021 /CNW/ - Drone Delivery Canada Corp. (TSXV: FLT) (OTC: TAKOF) (Frankfurt: A2AMGZ or ABB.F) (the " Company " or " DDC ") is pleased to provide an update on the Condor drone based on recent successful testing at the Foremost UAS Test Range, in Foremost, Alberta, Canada .

Drone Delivery Canada's Condor Drone (CNW Group/Drone Delivery Canada)

The Company is pleased to announce that it has successfully completed further testing of the Condor, including testing as related to: cold-weather performance, wind performance, cargo-area temperature profiles, long-duration flight testing, aircraft attitude and position controller tuning, autonomy, and autonomous waypoint navigation. These attributes are important with respect to commercial / industrial applications and healthcare cargo, especially biologicals, pharmaceuticals and vaccines.

The Company had previously announced successful testing of numerous critical aspects of the Condor, including: triple-redundant communications system (satellite, cellular, 900MHz RF); triple-redundant navigational guidance system; triple-redundant autopilot system; monitoring of unmanned flights remotely from DDC's Operations Control Centre in Vaughan, Ontario ; general flight stability and performance; fuel consumption characteristics; multiple unique flying patterns; multiple velocity vectors and altitude profiles; sound pressure levels; engine tuning characteristics; maintenance procedures; logging of flight data; and extended endurance testing in varying environmental conditions.

Pursuant to proposed Transport Canada regulations, the Condor would not require a formal aircraft type-certification when operated in specific lower-risk (remote) locations, as is intended. Commercialization in support of COVID-19 related activities and also remote area deliveries would commence for 2021 projects once DDC has completed testing. Flight approvals would be requested through Transport Canada following the straightforward and well-established Special Flight Operations Certificate (SFOC) process that DDC has successfully used in the past.

The Condor is currently the Company's largest drone with an expected range of 200km (124mi) and a payload capacity of 180kg (396lb) and is fully integrated with the Company's patented FLYTE software system. The turnkey solution is marketed in a managed service SaaS business model in Canada and as a licensed managed service internationally.

"We are very pleased with the ongoing successful testing of our Condor delivery drone. The Sparrow, Robin XL and Condor all have unique use-case applications based on range and payload capabilities, and we are excited to have the two additional models coming to market. The Sparrow continues to operate successfully at current customer projects. Robin XL & Condor solution pre-selling efforts are underway and market response has been very favourable in Canada and internationally, and we are working to close a number of specific prospective opportunities," said Michael Zahra , President & CEO of DDC.

All that says is that they successfully completed the test. Meaning there were no delays in testing and the testing went as planned and as scheduled. Those are not test results. They are not saying it passed the cold weather test or anything like that. They are only saying what they tested. Not a pass or fail or any results..only that they successfully completed the test. Man it's like talking ...more

If they tested a rocket and it blew up it wouldn,t be a test successful would it!!!
Comment by InvestForce on Mar 04, 2021 9:52am
At least no "rapid uncontrolled dismantling" or explosion as Elon Musk called it for the latest rocket test.
Comment by brad753 on Mar 04, 2021 10:29am
No, it would be an unsuccessful test because blowing up wouldn't allow for the test to be completed. But it could not blow up and land, that would be a successful test, even if it failed... The test would be successful because it was completed. Hope you're getting it now that it's been written in crayon

Ever written an exam and bombed. Probably. Would you say you successfully bombed! You probably wrote it in crayon!
Comment by brad753 on Mar 04, 2021 2:22pm
If you take the test and bomb were you still able to complete it? Yes you've still successfully completed the test. You just didn't do well on it. It's not semantics.. I literally means something completely different than what you are assuming..

The Company had previously announced SUCCESSFUL testing of numerous critical aspects of the Condor. They didn,t have to run the same tests, because they were SUCCESSFUL. That is what they are saying, not what you are trying to imply. Read man. GEEEZ!

For the sake of argument it doesn't matter today anyway. The stock is down like so many others. But it will!
Comment by pkrash on Mar 04, 2021 12:43pm
It actually depends on what the test is. Funny...I'm actually an Aerospace Engineer working in a Test Dept for over 32yrs. There are lots of tests we do where things "blow up"...and they are considered successful because data was gathered and certain criteria (test levels) were met. When a company issues a statement that "the tests were successful" it means that the tests ...more

LOL. That is the best bs story ever haha. Well I've actually worked in the drone industry for 93 years and I know what successful tests are and what they aren't. You're obviously late to the party because I have bought and flipped this stock nearly a dozen times and I've called the ups and downs correctly nearly a dozen times. And still... It's like you guys don't want to ...more

The best part of your delusion is you don't really know how wrong you are. You also still haven't answered the basic question...why are you here? Making bashing post after bashing post? Are you that desperate? That lonely?
Comment by brad753 on Mar 04, 2021 4:58pm
A realistic and factual comment is not "bashing" just because it doesn't fit with your hopes and dreams. Yes someone used the phrase that it's a "red day, all stocks are down" bla bla. Not acknowledging the stock is down more than 30%. If the rest of the market was that down we'd be in a recession... .
Comment by pkrash on Mar 04, 2021 7:40pm
You are not posting realistic or factual comments. You are actually posting false information about the company, management and results of tests. You have refused to answer simple questions. You also have zero credibility as demonstrated by your actions here. Please stop wasting our bandwidth and time.

I've been right with every prediction of this stock so far. You're just too offended and emotional to listen. Which are great qualities in a trader.. definitely want someone emotional who can't read news releases looking after ...more

Still deflecting and spinning. You were out of the stock way too early and missed the top. You failed as a "trader". Why can't you answer the question? Why do you keep bashing?
