RE: Would you fly this jet

RE: Would you fly this jet As a caveat may I say that I don't own this stock, but have looked at with some interest in light of its apparent endorsements from many quarters. I noted that most of you backed away very quickly from any further association with this technology and South West's problems ....which was inordinately wise since there's no connection between AMA's in flight systems monitoring application and fatigue cracks. I'm more intrigued by much of the information that is circulated regarding fuel savings. If one reads the information disseminated by the Howard Group...who have invested in a previous private placement and publicly endorse the company, one notes the following. They openly and publicly profess to have gleaned from discussions with AMA's management.... that 'fuel savings' are one of the advertised advantages of this technology. So much so that AMA's management claim ( according to Howard ) that one operator has maintained that it will save 14 million litres of jet fuel annually by implementing AMA's program. That's a significant number in litres, kilos, pounds or $$$$dollars. I'm not an engineer....would one ( or more ) of you more learned proponents of this story care to explain exactly how this system can potentially save fuel. I don't mean by repetition of someone elses public statements or speculation....but by actual hard facts as to how use of AFIRS has a correlation to actual day to day fuel consumption. Since the 'fuel' factor is being used to draw attention to and promote the story.....I've no doubt that some of you have researched the implications and could explain to me, or anyone who's interested, exactly how it would work on a particular flight segment on a particular day. Thanks.
