RE: RE: RE: RE: RE: My 52 cents worth

Ichor...allow me to assure you I am not, nor am I ever, offended on these boards.

I fully realize that yours is an honest point of view..and you are most welcome to it.

As far as ''attack first''....not quite so. I've watched for two years as some of the characters on this board have promulgated a version of events that is fanciful at best. I believe there are some honest readers who are legitimately curious...but to stand by and watch blatant mistruths is not my modus operandi. I could go over a litany of misguided nonsense...but what's the point. So...I don't 'attack first'....I react to falsehoods ...and there's absolutely no question that I believe the board self ordained ''moderator'' to be the biggest offender. In case there's any doubt...I dislike his posturing immensely.

You might like to note that I've never denigrated AMA's product....it's interesting... and has always had some potential...that's the only reason I was ever here. I do have a background that gives me a leg-up so to speak over some others here...and that's why I see through a lot of what is postulated here.

I always said....and will maintain...the real problem is one of market acceptance and execution. AMA always acknowledged that it was somewhat of a niche product...with a niche market. I certainly wish them well iif they can extend it beyond that...there's no doubt they're trying. No question they're having a problem getting serious interest...that's why they've resorted to piggyback marketing          arrangements ...and I laud them for their efforts.....any port in a storm so to speak!

The concept of actually using steady 'streaming data' is interesting..but it's still very much a talking point. The industry is nowhere near accepting the cost of it...and as of now the only 'voices' promoting the idea are whispers in the wind. Having newswriters and a few talking heads muse about it in the wake of a tragedy is a far cry from any action. And to add insult to injury...I have reason to believe, as do significant others in the know, if it ever appears that AMA is gaining a toehold or making a serious breakthrough....they will be taken out in a heartbeat by one of the heavies...a  Honeywell for example. That's not a negative...it's a potential reality...maybe a desirable reality. When and at what price....who knows....but AMA still have a long way yet to go to get a meaningful breakthrough.

Cheers.........
