It was a legitimate bought deal done by Research Capital and laid off on their clients.
If you'd been around at the time and knew the posting history on this board you'd know that I stated quite clearly at the time that Jacques was way off base with his $3.00 prediction. It had no basis...it demonstrated that either he didn't understand the numbers and the prospects at that time ...or he was taking great poetic licence( that's a nice choice of words ). I didn't figure it out after the fact...it was obvious at the time.
Jacques worked for Research as their Aviation Analyst at the time...presumably they trusted his input and bought into it....that's part and parcel of how they eke out a living....that was their choice....what they really think of the prospects on any deal is, I'm sure, a well guarded secret internally. If you lads think that these clever underwriters only lay off sure things on their clients then you're naive beyond my wildest dreams. We could all get rich by buying private placements....what a joke! Or possibly you'd care to conjure up another scenario of motherhood and apple pie!!
You'll note I'm sure that Mr Kavafian was subsequently invited to leave Research Capital and the firm then discontinued its coverage of the stock ...so much for all the good folks ( you know...their loyal clients ) who bought into the placement...sorry....you're on your own now.
