From rising costs to environmental impact, airlines have had plenty of reasons to save every bit of jet fuel they can. Delta Air Lines this week revealed details of how its fleet renewal program has helped to save tens of millions of gallons of fuel."
IMO, airlines' attention to fuel savings can only help Flyht. Reducing fuel consumption with the planes one has is an opportunity for Flyht to sell product. Fleet renewal, a solution for some airlines, can't hurt either - it may result in a client passing along existing Flyht hardware in favour of the installation of next gen. (I don't see existing hardware being uninstalled and migrated.)
In Delta's case, they are replacing older aircraft with Airbus A321neos and A220s. Both are aircraft types on which AFIRS can be installed OEM.
"Overall, a mix of fleet renewal and operational initiatives are driving this improvement. On the long road to zero emissions, airlines have to ensure that they are heading in the right direction. So, Delta is continuing to spend big on sustainability schemes..."
