Outside the Box

Clearly I appear to be one of the few “outsiders” who writes on occasion on this bullboard. I’m left with the impression that the regular writers here are either ex- employees, ex-friends but now “sworn enemies” versus current employees, friends and family. It makes me feel as if I’m in the middle of a fight but no one’s yet taking shots at me. Rather odd.
I’m here as I see an enormous gap between what I believe to be the underlying value of the company’s investments and its market capitalization, currently at $33 million. The management, who have brought the theoretical value of the assets, in my opinion, to such a high level clearly have done an excellent job. They have and continue to show their knowledge and worth. However I do feel that the talent and expertise which has developed the Rallyemont, Allstar and CVG opportunities has it weaknesses. Like all of us no one is perfect and no one is an expert in everything.
In my view we are weak in the key area of “blowing our corporate trumpet”. I suggest that the proof of this is the difference between a reasonable discount between underlying asset values and our SP and the current discount. I do not just accept that it’s  “the market” or buy into “ Look what’s happened to all the juniors” arguments.
We have a great story to tell, no an incredible trumpet to blow, are we really doing our best? How many marks out of 10 should we give ourselves for this, maybe 5 or 6, in my view. Is MGI really promoting our stock, are we getting analysts interested? I liked the corporate update dated August 2012. Could we not have another one dealing with and expanding on the CVG deal and the Viking sale? Does it not provide a great opportunity to promote our stock? Would more detailed information on a  regular basis help our SP?.
At the end of the day shareholders measure the boards performance by the share price. We need to pay more attention at raising it up in my opinion The underlying value is there. It should be possible.
PS. If we say we anticipate having a conference call update in September let’s do it or at least say it will be postponed or something. Or did I miss an announcement on this!

GLTA and happy Guy Fawkes night.
