RE:RE:RE:Sobeys new store formatAs someone who is very familiar with the Canadian Grocery business. Who spent years selling to various Category Managers, Store Managers and Grocery Managers for all the major 'chain stores' throughout Canada; I can tell you that data regarding Shelf Management and the development of 'planograms' within the stores is paramount in regards to increasing 'profit' and customer satisfaction etc. If you are unfamilliar with the term 'Planogram' . Below is the definition from Google. I would advise you do your own research on how important a Planogram is to a Retail Grocery store. Because the volume is high and the margins are low for most food products. Data collection is key to develop these planograms. Moreover, customer loyalty and store and category (i.e.Chips, Shampoo, Canned Foods, Pasta aisle.etc.) And, of course, getting the most profits from each consumer purchase... Just my two cents....
What is a planogram grocery store? A planogram is a visual diagram, or drawing, that provides in detail where every product in a retail store should be placed. At a higher level the "macro space" or commodity layout specifies where in the store different categories are situated and how much space each category is given.
