Goldbrook investor Mmcap acquires 388,500 more shares

MM ASSET MANAGEMENT INC. ACQUIRES CONTROL OVER COMMON SHARES OF GOLDBROOK VENTURES INC.

A fund MM Asset Management Inc. manages and advises, Mmcap International Inc. SPC has acquired 388,500 common shares of Goldbrook Ventures Inc. since a takeover bid for all of the outstanding shares was filed by 0931017 B.C. Ltd. with the securities regulatory authorities on Feb. 3, 2012. The shares were acquired through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange.

Mmcap now beneficially owns and MMAM exercises control and direction over 11,265,000 shares of Goldbrook, representing approximately 5.0682 per cent of the outstanding shares based on 222,266,171 outstanding shares as of Jan. 19, 2012, as per Goldbrook's support agreement.

Mmcap has acquired such securities for investment purposes only. Depending on market conditions and other factors, Mmcap may from time to time acquire additional securities of Goldbrook or dispose of such securities in the open market, by private agreement or otherwise.

That's certainly interesting news. What do you think Kudu Partners will be able to do with 16% of GBK? Perhaps there is another investor with a sh*tload of shares they are conspiring with. Also, was there ever an explanation as to why GBK needed a $2MM loan from JJ? It seems to me that if JJ were to take over GBK they would in essence be invalidating their loan. So why the loan? A payoff? I
