Buy when there is blood on the streetsGreetings, fellow GCU holders:
Further to the subject heading of my post today, it would appear that we have been blessed with another buying opportunity. For those of you sitting on parked cash, today might be a good day to dabble in adding to your position. Great day to average down, if you're in above the current share price. Don't forget that more news is on the horizon, and it will likely be quite good. Capitalize on fear. These are opportunities in disguise.
Despite the nausea in your stomach, try not to panic. Even if the market is in - and continues to go into - a tail spin, don't lose sight of what we have here, and it's value. Even in bad times, money can be made. After all, our fundamentals haven't changed (other than the fluctuating POG) and if anything, our fundamentals will continue to improve as more news is released on our deposit.
For all of you who may be feeling lousy, cheer up - think about how Sheldon must feel right now. And not just him - many other insiders hold hundreds of thousands - and some, millions - of shares. A down today such as today wipes out a LOT of money for them... at least on paper. But having said that, I don't think they are the ones selling. My suspicion is that weaker hands are waving the white flag, cashing in, and trying to mitigate losses.
Playing the venture exchange requires that the player (i.e. investor) has a number of personal attributes:
1. Research and analytical skills - to weed out crappy venture stocks from the good ones;
2. Patience - to wait a long time to gain maximum value from their investment;
3. Experience - to understand that the market will play games with your mind, and your wallet;
4. Money - to ride out the storm and not have to rely on the cash invested, to avoid being forced to sell at a loss;
5. A Clear Mind - to sit back when there is panic, remain calm, and take a look at the bigger picture; and finally,
6. Testicular Fortitude - to not only stomach the carnage, but to buy more on days such as today.
The above list is not an exhaustive one, by any means. It does, however, provide a fairly accurate picture of the type of investor that one has to be, to be in the game in the first place, and then be successful at playing it. If one does not possess these attributes, then perhaps this is not the environment for that person.
I respectfully submit the above to you, all in my humble opinion.
Best of luck to all, and long live the GCU longs!
